Information that you provide here is important for the day-to-day operation of the Master Gardener Program in the State of Wisconsin. The program has an obligation to protect the integrity and quality of the information, privacy of individuals, and security of institutional data while also maximizing its effective and efficient use. The purpose of this policy is to establish minimum requirements for the management and stewardship of institutional data resources.

This policy applies to all information that is collected, stored, maintained, generated, transmitted, or recorded in the Extension Master Gardener Program Online Recording System (ORS). 

Who can access Information in the ORS Data.

Approved UW-Madison Staff will be able to access the following, for internal programmatic purposes:

• Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email address).
• Information about your volunteer service (annual and cumulative hours) and continuing education hours you report to the Extension Master Gardener program.
• Your program participation level.
• The year you entered the program. 

Approved Organizations in the Online Reporting System (ORS) that you report volunteer service for:

• Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email address).
• Information about your volunteer service (annual and cumulative hours) and continuing education hours you report to the Extension Master Gardener program (specific to their organization only).

With your permission, Master Gardener Associations (WIMGA affiliated)

• The following information may be shared with associations that represent the county you live in. 
  • Your contact information (name, phone number, email address)
  • Information about your volunteer and continuing education hours you report to the Extension Master Gardener program (annual and cumulative hours only).
  • Your program participation level.
  • The year you entered the program. 

If you would prefer that your information not be shared with Master Gardener Associations please check the box below.

Under the Wisconsin Public Records Law, Extension ordinarily must release lists in its custody to the public upon request.  Your name, address, telephone number or email address may be included on such a list unless you request confidentiality in writing.  Extension will, to the extent possible under the Wisconsin Public Records Law, withhold client names from lists when requested. 

If you want your name, address, phone number and email address withheld from lists that are released upon request, please check the box below (this must be agreed to annually):
